GIRARD Diane

I am a self-taught artist who uses photography to create abstract artwork.

I mostly use “creative intentional motion blur”, where my own movements while taking the picture produce the abstraction. Instinct, light, and colors guide me while I literally dance around my subjects, reinventing and reshaping them into either bold and dynamic or soft and luminous shapes.

In other cases, I seek to immortalize brief moments in time of subjects in motion, waiting until the light and their movements inspire me. This allows the discovery and appreciation of shapes and colors generally invisible to us.

Please note that I do not use artificial intelligence, nor do I manipulate the artwork during post-treatment, except for minor adjustments such as luminosity and contrast.
